A paper on sign‑reversal magnetoresistance in double‑perovskite cobalt oxides has been published in Journal of Materials Chemistry C. This work is the result of a collaboration with Tokyo University of Science and NIMS.

As a 2026 FWIP Exchange Student, Ms. Priyanku Nath, a second‑year doctoral student from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, has been assigned to the Chikamatsu Laboratory. Her stay will be from August 2026 to January 2027.

Our paper on the effects of fluorination on the ferroelectric and magnetic properties of barium‑substituted bismuth ferrite thin films has been published in The Journal of Physical Chemistry C. This work is the result of a collaborative effort with the University of Tokyo, KEK, Tohoku University, and Tokyo University of Science. “Fluorination Effects on the Ferroelectric and Magnetic Properties of Ba‑Substituted BiFeO3 Thin Films Studied by Electron Spectroscopy”

D2 Kamigaito received the Outstanding Student Poster Award at The Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science The 2026 Kanto Branch Annual Meeting. Congratulations to her on this excellent achievement!

At The Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science The 2026 Kanto Branch Annual Meeting held at the Tokyo University of Science Katsushika Campus, M2 Tsukiji gave an oral presentation, while D2 Kamigaito and M1 Kasahara presented their work in the poster session.

M2 Tsuiji presented her research in an oral session at the 73rd JSAP Spring Meeting, held on the Ookayama Campus of Science Tokyo.
